77- Nose
- Straw, grass, lemongrass.
- Palate
- Light, oily. Dry. Bamboo-like woodiness. Some vanilla smoothness after a few minutes in the glass. Aromatic. Exotic.
- Finish
- Grassy again. Hot. Chillies.
- Comment
- Rather aggressive for a malt that is usually delicate and sweet, but still very distinctive. Will stand softening with a good splash of water.

85- Nose
- Delicate and summery but with guts. Aromatic nose: lemon, icing sugar, almond slice, vanilla, red fruit and with water basil leaf/anise.
- Palate
- Light to medium bodied. Floral with a sweetly attractive start but good texture mid-palate.
- Finish
- Strawberries then dry and malty.
- Comment
- Delicate yet complex.
