Nose
Straw, grass, lemon-grass. Palate
Light, oily. Dry. Bamboo-like woodiness. Some vanilla smoothness after a few minutes in the glass. Aromatic. Exotic. Finish
Grassy again. Hot. Chillies. Comment
Rather aggressive for a malt that is usually delicate and sweet, but still very distinctive. Will stand softening with a good splash of water.
Dave Broom
Nose
Delicate and summery but with guts. Aromatic nose: lemon, icing sugar, almond slice, vanilla, red fruit and with water basil leaf/anise. Palate
Light to medium bodied. Floral with a sweetly attractive start but good texture mid-palate. Finish
Strawberries then dry and malty. Comment
Delicate yet complex.
