Nose
Fresh. Fruity. Banana. Lemon zest. Palate
Flowery. Perfumy. Gin-like. Finish
Spicy. Hint of clove. Some astringency. Comment
Maturity improves it. Still needs rounding out, but less gauche than the distillery bottling.
Martine Nouet
Nose
Intense and sharp. Grassy, becomes waxy. Distant hints of fruit. With water, opens up with cereal notes. A touch of coconut milk. Palate
Starts smooth but quickly turns crisp and dry. With water, pleasant spicy flavours and less dryness. Finish
Firm and very dry. Comment
More refreshing and expressive with water. A fairly pleasant classic malt for an apéritif with oatcakes and smoked salmon.
