Nose
Lifted, clean, intense. Oils, dried cranberry, custard then fragrant spices, candy. Water adds a teasing acidity and touches of maraschino.
Palate
Good grip, balanced by huge flavour impact:orange bitters opening into roses, polished oak, camphor.Tannins suggest age. Great balance. Complex.
Finish
Dusty rye. Intense and long. Sweet oak.
Comment
Fantastic balance. Highest recommendation.

Nose
A strong varnish note quite aggressive for the nostrils at start. That sharp bite gives way to a pleasant fruit and spices display. Then a sweet vanilla and caramel cream covers the fruit. Quite complex.
Palate
Wood tends to show up but fruit resist, supported by a definite floral invasion. Elderberry wine.
Finish
Dry,oaky. Licoriced comeback.
Comment
Just of the edge of too much wood. Age weighs. But the complexity of the nose keeps the profile high.
