- Nose
- Lifted,clean,intense. Oils,dried cranberry,custard then fragrant spices,candy. Water adds a teasing
acidity and touches of maraschino.
- Palate
- Good grip, balanced by huge flavour impact:orange bitters opening into roses, polished oak, camphor.Tannins suggest age. Great balance. Complex.
- Finish
- Dusty rye. Intense and long. Sweet oak.
- Comment
- Fantastic balance. Highest recommendation.

- Nose
- A strong varnish note quite aggressive for the nostrils at start. That sharp bite gives way to a pleasant fruit
and spices display. Then a sweet vanilla and caramel cream covers the fruit. Quite complex.
- Palate
- Wood tends to show up but fruit resist, supported by a definite floral invasion. Elderberry wine.
- Finish
- Dry,oaky. Licoriced comeback.
- Comment
- Just of the edge of too much wood. Age weighs. But the complexity of the nose keeps the profile high.
