Nose
Warm. Sweet. Palate
Lean and spicy. Very lively flavours. Immediate anis. Herbal, Tobacco-like. Finish
Firm, gripping. Took me by the scruff of the neck and sent me to work. Comment
More typical of the unusual hot, dry, cleansing character of this distinctive whisky.
Dave Broom
Nose
Fresh wood (sandalwood) sweet malt, cherry, spices and peanut shells with a lovely vanilla pod/custardy note. Palate
Sweet fruits (melon, apricot). That sweet vanilla custard takes charge, but there's a nutty undertow balancing things. Oak is fairly firm. Finish
Dry and nutty. Comment
A well built and delicious dram.
