- Nose
- Big, mature, and ripe. Suede, dust, walnut and a hint of varnish. Chestnut honey, Chinese black Oolong, berry fruits. Balanced and complex. Fruit leather (in both senses).
- Palate
- Again that peachy ripeness. So much fruit that it bulges and expands in the middle of the tongue. Butterscotch, then light liquorice and cedar.
- Finish
- Gentle and smooth.
- Comment
- Ripeness and weight is the key here. A gentle monarch.
- Nose
- Mellow and complex, sweet fruits and dark rich honey. Almost bourbon biscuits. A spiced apple note, cinnamon and baked sultanas.
- Palate
- A nutty edge balances all the soft fruits, rich flavours too of cigar boxes
and Angel Delight.
- Finish
- Long and spicy.
- Comment
- Stunning blending.
