Hundred Casks
Scotch Whisky ~ Blended

Dave Broom

Thick and quite syrupy. Stewed, sweet fruits, think persimmon, dried grasses and sweet fresh oak. As it opens, a little more rooty age, dunnage, mushroom, hint of balsam. Needs time in the glass.
Crisp and clean. A slightly drier and firmer structure. Nut shell then into melting chocolate and hazelnut. Time adds softness and fruit cake. Layered.
Blackberry and blackcurrant.
Less effusive and open than the 21 but the depth is mysterious and rewarding as well.

Rob Allanson

Not a great talker at first, but then this big rich character emerges, all fruit and nut, cherries, caramel and some smoke. Marmalade as well.
There is a rich fruit cake sweetness here, with cinnamon and chocolate. Spices build over time.
Long and nutty.
Overall this is soft and sumptuous.
