Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Nose
Spicy and fruity. Half dried apricots in cinnamon. Hazelnuts.
Palate
Round and sweet. Fruit gives way to a nutty spiciness.
Finish
Rather short. Cinnamon lingers on.
Comment
Good integration of wood and malt. A very decent dram.

Dave Broom

Nose
Heathery. Oak, light peat, damson jam. Lavender honey dripping off hot buttered toast. Water brings out sweet almond, orange and cumin.
Palate
Sweet and honeyed with balancing oak and a long unctuous feel. Leather and caramelised notes.
Finish
Tablet and a tickle of smoke.
Comment
Fantastic balance. One for sweet-toothed drinkers.
