Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Malty. Treacle toffee. Appetising, juicy, sherryish, oak. Poire Williams. Palate Layers of malty, nutty, flavours Finish Intense raisiny sweetness, then drying on the tongue, with a suggestion of char. A hint of cough sweets Comment Lovely chestnut colour. Soothing. After dinner and in front of a log fire. A touch woody, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Dave Broom Nose Aged sherry (dry oloroso) walnut, chicory, fig rolls, chocolate, wrinkly Cox’s, tarragon. Water makes it smokier/meatier, leather, raisin, date and coal smoke. Palate Soft yet savoury: chocolate with a whiff of coal smoke, coffee cake. Finish Big soft and gentle. Liquorice and soot. Comment A big gentle well-balanced dram. Deep and old.
