- Nose
- Peach jam. Crème brûlée. Some fragrant smokiness.
- Palate
- Smooth. Soothing. Very spicy. Scottish tablet. Dusty. A little oaky, but not excessively so.
- Finish
- Smoky. Long, warming.
- Comment
- A heavily sherried whisky that is nonetheless surprisingly lively for its age.

- Nose
- A rich slippery nose. Gives little away without water. When added there's butter tablet mixed with dried fruit, burning leaves and walnut whip.
- Palate
- Big European oak cask influence making it a pretty tannic experience. The impression is of a bowl of nuts and overripe fruit/dates.
- Finish
- Dry and a little smoky.
- Comment
- Full-on but distillery character is obliterated
