- Nose
- Vegetal. Green. Or is that suggested by the Chartreuse colour? Or the shade of undiluted real absinthe. A very pretty whisky.
- Palate
- Light but oily. Fragrant. Junipery, fruity. Peppery. Phenolic.
- Finish
- Very dry. Reminds me of alder smoke.
- Comment
- Young and hot. If that sounds flirtatiously sexy, you have the right idea.

- Nose
- Juicy, smoky with iodine notes. There's sooty chimneys, rock pools, seaweed, crepe bandages and burnt sticks on the beach.
- Palate
- Slightly bitter with some citric notes which are then given a blanket of peat smoke and iodine.
- Finish
- Long. Smoky. Medicinal.
- Comment
- You can see why blenders adore this. For those who like their Islay malts aggressive, zesty and smoky.
