- Nose
- Pungent. Piney, tar-like, intensely smoky, earthy, darkly sherried.
- Palate
- Coconut oiliness. Resiny. Fruity and phenolic.
- Finish
- Oaky and very salty. Immensely powerful, tenacious.
- Comment
- Frighteningly good. Godzilla is alive and well and living in Campbeltown.

- Nose
- An extraordinarily delicate smokiness, boasting soft, plummy fruit and a gristy maltiness.
- Palate
- Bigger than the nose suggests: peat runs before everything else in between sweet maltiness.
- Finish
- Chewy, vanilla-rich, kippery, buttery, still gristy and a little young but wonderfully long.
- Comment
- A cask well worth keeping back to see in the new century. And, as a 9 Years Old, proves that youth can conquer over age. Spectacular.
