- Intense sherry. Rich dried fruit. Dates, figs, prunes. The alcohol is slightly prickly. Coffee toffee. Melted oak. Old furniture. Cigar box. Eucalyptus hints.
- Palate
- Crisp, tangy. As expected, oak is overwhelming. Bitter sweet chocolate. Water takes it on the bitter side.
- Finish
- Long, liquorice.
- Comment
- The nose is a delight. To enjoy the palate, you have to be a wood freak.

- Nose
- There is a Christmas cake note here, but then wafts of incense come through. Humidor and dried tobacco with a hint of oak too. A little minty.
- Palate
- Massive oak hit followed by some sweetish chocolate and burnt sugar.
Despite this there is a freshness to it.
- Finish
- Long and oaked.
- Comment
- Takes a while to get friendly with but well worth the effort.
