77- Nose
- Fruity, orangey, musky-spicy. Hint of leafy peatiness. A rich, complex aroma.
- Palate
- Silky, enwrapping. Powerful orange-peel, but also maltiness and nuittiness, and some underlying dryness from a touch of peat.
- Finish
- Light, clean, dry.
- Comment
- Remarkably fruity, but in a lively interplay with all the other elements.

80- Nose
- There's some sulphur notes when unreduced but water pulls out incense, lapsang souchong tea, dried apricot. An 'old' aroma: all walnut, cedar and orange honey.
- Palate
- Sweet start with toffee and cream. The wood is a little grippy, but not overpowering.
- Finish
- Dry, long and lively.
- Comment
- Obviously old but still very well balanced. Sean Connery.
