Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Sweet. Aromatic.
Palate
Surprisingly heavy-bodied. Creamy-tasting. Vanilla.
Finish
Soothing. Late medicinal note.
Comment
Very rich for a grain whisky. Not much dimension. No flavour peaks.

Dave Broom

Nose
Firm ‘grainy’, grassy with some roast almond. Water accentuates the firmness and brings out some juicy/oily qualities. Gets bigger in time but always dry.
Palate
Dry and sweet at the same time. The soft gentle grain does play its part, but overall this is a big whisky with a firm structure.
Finish
Surprisingly sweet.
Comment
This has personality, weight and is the most tightly focused of the bunch.
