Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet

Nose
Assertive. Aniseed. Artichoke. Acacia flowers. Green fruit. Vetyver. Lingering peat in the back. Straw. Alcohol tingles.
Palate
Sweeter than expected. Oily. Thick. Very refreshing. Grated lemon. Liquorice mingled with toffee.
Finish
Peppery. Dry. Bitter chocolate.
Comment
Not a model of subtlety but a well-knitted character, in the light heavyweight category.

Dave Broom

Nose
Fennel seed and lemon. A twiggy, slightly grubby note.
Palate
Very sweet in the centre with some demerara sugar, slivered almond.
Finish
Earthy.
Comment
Can't get hugely excited.
