Nose
Intense. Sherried. Moss, humus. Old furniture. Maraschino cherries. Dark chocolate. A floral hint. Heady flowers like iris. More oakiness on time.
Palate
Sweet and velvety. Oak speaks up. Dark chocolate. Bitter coffee. A definite sherry character. Astringent but not grippy. Dried fruit. Dates and figs. Quite complex and rich.
Finish
Oaky, drying on soft spices. Some liquorice and almond skin.
Comment
A rich sherry profile. On the oak side but elegant and deep. Water kills it.

Nose
Very floral, lavender soap. Marshmallows, Tunnocks teacakes, hot chocolate and cream, caramalised walnuts and boot leather.
Palate
Earthy and oaky, plum pudding with a little nutty edge to it. Some beeswax and a slight bitter oak. Espresso grinds and chocolate sprinkles.
Finish
Short but nicely spiced.
Comment
Clear signs of old age but well knitted together.
