Nose
Aromatic. Light, clean. Flowery. Nutty maltiness. Restrained peat Palate
Lightly malty, syrupy. Very sweet. Finish
Drying. Fainty peaty. Very leafy. Fruity sourness. Like eating a kumquat. Comment
An enjoyable malt, but Glendronach is capable of more.
Dave Broom
Nose
Light. Undiluted it’s vegetal and grassy with hints of putty and soot. Water brings out a sweeter mash tun/soggy shredded wheat note, almond, dried grass with some melon. Palate
Gentle, clean and pretty. Vanilla, smoke and a spiky citric lift. Finish
Grassy and soft. Comment
Attractive if light. At least someone’s bottling it: Allied how about you?
