- Nose
- Buttery sweetness. Rum. Bananas. Is this the ‘sherry' of South Africa or the whin of the Highlands? I am not sure.
- Palate
- Banana liqueur. Then smoky, like a pancake that has burned slightly.
- Finish
- Soothing, caramel-ish, with some leafy spiciness.
- Comment
- A very unusual expression of Clynelish.

- Nose
- Smoky. Some waxiness and a grapey note as well. Madeira cask like in its charred dry notes.
- Palate
- Better than the nose, sweet and rich and coats the mouth. Another which is all feel. The singed note comes back towards the finish.
- Finish
- A little dirty?
- Comment
- At the risk of being pedantic are you allowed to call it South African sherry?
