Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Fresh burnt grass. Garden bonfires. Palate Honey. Heather. Sherryish, nutty, buttery. Marshmallow. Finish Gradual emergence of smoky warmth. Like sitting in front of a log fire. Comment A lovely whisky. A sweetish bottling. More complex and elegant than the 'official' 12 Years Old, but not quite as expressive as the 18.

Dave Broom Nose Dense, concentrated nose: mead/metheglin, spiced apple, singed orange peel, peat smoke. Beerenauslese with peat on top. Palate As you'd expect, thick with a good feel. Quite phenolic, subtle and elegant. Finish Medium smoky. Comment A Norse nose, concentrated and delicious with more smoke than you normally find, though maybe a little woody.
