- Nose
- A walk across the grassy dunes to a clean beach in a light, fresh breeze.
- Palate
- Teasing balance of sweet, creamy maltiness and salty, savoury, vegetal flavours. After the walk, warming soup.
- Finish
- Peppery dry. Bring on the cullen skink.
- Comment
- What a distinctive malt Brora was, and there are some excellent bottlings available.

- Nose
- Light and slightly numb. Wet stones, thrift flowers, herbs, smoke.
- Palate
- Dry and unyielding. Those herbs again, some almond and a light maritime character.
- Finish
- Short.
- Comment
- Not sufficient drive being given by the cask.
