Nose
Appetisingly piney Palate
Slippery smooth. Oily. Fragrant. Sappy. Finish
Powdery. Spicy. Comment
A whole range of aromas and flavours that are hard to pin down. Sent me into a reverie: a long weekend in a big house, with kippers for breakfast, toasted brown bread and good marmalade. The house also smells of furniture polish.
Dave Broom
Nose
Fragrant, blossom-like and lifted, with some grass and oaky notes reminiscent of hot sawdust. After a while there's macaroon bars, lots of vanilla and blossom-like grassiness. Palate
Oaky to start. A pretty firm structure, but attractive quite delicate spirit. Finish
Dry. Comment
Lovely, but the oak is just maybe a little too firm.
