75- Nose
- Very flowery. Lemony. A touch of sulphur.
- Palate
- Starts quietly, with gradual flavour development. Dry. Cereal grain. Grassy. Burnt grass.
- Finish
- Slightly astringent.
- Comment
- Good for its age, but I preferred it two or three years ago.
Dave Broom
75- Nose
- Light, then a suggestion of lawnmower box, wet grass and fresh green herbs. A sugary sweetness alongside a charred, phenolic note whick develops.
- Palate
- Seems light, but has a good weight mid-palate with those burn, smoky notes balanced by raspberry and lemon.
- Finish
- Dies a little quickly.
- Comment
- Attractive, but just a touch insubstantial, lacking the texture and flavour range to make it great.
