- Quick hit of intense syrupy fruit.
- Palate
- Very pleasant grassy and smoky aspects. Creamy in the middle. Suggestion of white chocolate.
- Finish
- Quite hot. Ginger cookies.
- Comment
- More woody and astringent than earlier bottlings at similar ages.

- A curious balance of cream, fruits and smoke.
- Palate
- Quite fat with a sweet stratum of malt hemmed in by some full on oak.
- Finish
- Chocolate but definite signs of over-ageing.
- Comment
- A big malt, but there are some flaws suggesting this has passed its best.
