Nose
Quick hit of intense syrupy fruit.
Palate
Very pleasant grassy and smoky aspects. Creamy in the middle. Suggestion of white chocolate.
Finish
Quite hot. Ginger cookies.
Comment
More woody and astringent than earlier bottlings at similar ages.

Jim Murray

Nose
A curious balance of cream, fruits and smoke.
Palate
Quite fat with a sweet stratum of malt hemmed in by some full on oak.
Finish
Chocolate but definite signs of over-ageing.
Comment
A big malt, but there are some flaws suggesting this has passed its best.
