- Fruity, sherbety. Strawberries.
- Palate
- Oily. Waxy. Fruity. Fresh limes.
- Finish
- Dry. Leafy. Peppery.
- Comment
- A little less eccentric, and more rounded than other bottlings I have tried recently.
Dave Broom
72- Nose
- To start with there's roasted malt, a hint of draff, then there's fruit, vanilla, and, as water is added, smoke and then oak. An intriguing combination.
- Palate
- Concentrated and packed with dried fruit, baked apple. Sweet with turfy smoke.
- Finish
- Long, slightly smoky.
- Comment
- Not as generous as some Imperials, but has some style.
