Tasting Notes

Arthur Motley Nose Buttercups, grass, currants and Turkish Delight. Metal and bubblebath notes became more apparent with water. Palate Christmas cake, with raisins and glacé cherries. Finish A light meatiness, like baked gammon. Comment Bags of cask character, and fine if you find finishes fun.

Dave Broom Nose Quite sweet. Barley sugar, then sultana/fruit loaf, hay, spices being sauteed in butter, crisp oak. Palate Medium-bodied and fairly intense, high concentration of sweet fruits, yet slightly firmer than you expect from the nose. Well balanced. Finish Fine length. Dried peels/fruits. Tingling. Comment Well balanced and with more weight and substance than you might normally expect from this distillery. A good dram.
