Nose
Highly exotic: Turkish delight, rose petal, anise, membrillo and thick Seville orange chunks. Damson and dark fruits develop.
Palate
Old balsam and herbs - strangely reminiscent of Becherovka - with mint and star anise at the front and sweet dark fruits at the back.
Finish
Again, not overly cloying.
Comment
I'm not a big liqueur fan, but this is a bit special.

Nose
Intense. Almost intoxicating herbal and spicy notes. Angelica, thyme, coriander, cinnamon. Orange peel. Exotic wood. The older version of the previous one?
Palate
Sweet and oaky. The same mixed oak and herbs cocktail.
Finish
Sweet and rather short.
Comment
A 40 Year Old liqueur? Certainly interesting and pleasant to drink. But the whisky is completely masked.
