Nose
The aromas are subtle with rich, dried apricot, orange and sultana. Elemental, medicinal peat appears with chunky barley, capsicum, black pepper, Assam tea, manure and tar. Lovely integration.
Palate
Moist vanilla-toffee laced dried fruit. The spirit is showing its youthfulness, but it does add a vitality. Medicinal peat appears on the middle with a touch of salt and building tannins.
Finish
Long with the saltiness in full swing but it's balanced by the sherried fruit. Lovely, sooty, smoky finish.
Comment
Although young, it displays a lovely elegance and character.

Nose
Sweet cure bacon, truffle oil, baked oysters and basil and a big slice of the oaky spiciness.
Palate
Lovely layers of wood spices, vanilla, and honey. Really well balanced.
Finish
Smooth and sophisticated.
Comment
Very well engineered, as you would expect from a country which holds function and form so highly.
