Nose
Fragrant. Balsamic, herbal. Touch of eucalyptus. Dry hay, meadow flowers. Creamy. Developing on buttery notes. Hint of marshmallows. Palate
Chewy. Less sweet than expected from the nose. Sour apples with the astringency of the skin. Finish
Spicy, slightly tangy. Drying on oaky notes. Comment
The nose is lighter and more subtle than the palate. A dash of water tones down the flavours. Disappointing.
Dave Broom
Nose
Fresh. Black olive, hot gorse/coconut then a tickle of smoke and some lemon notes. Green oak, tangerine and a gently oily quality. Palate
Silky soft feel. Coconut cream/milky coffee. Brine, oily but zesty with sooty smoke. Hits top gear half-way through. Subtle. Finish
Lightly sooty. Comment
