- Nose
- Scented (a theme emerges) Dried pear, star anise, then jelly babies and an intense pure fruitiness. Great intensity of character. Quince and wine gums.
- Palate
- Seems to be more in line with a fruit eaux de vie than ‘whisky' (whatever that means these days) Great clean aromatic spirit.
- Finish
- Firm.
- Comment
- The Californian St George, not the Norfolk one. One of the finest craft distillers

- Nose
- Cheesy. Stale cream or yogurt. Above that, a fruity note. But again with a stale hint. Vinegary apricot hidden in a vanilla syrup.
- Palate
- Sweet and bitter. So bitter ! Like chewing artichoke leaves.
- Finish
- Fizzy, dry and tangy.
- Comment
- What a strange (and unpleasant) fellow ! Water cuts the bitterness down a little. But it does not make it better.
