Nose
Soft supple barley and white fruit aromas with a good dollop of honey. Fresh, herbal grain comes through along with sweet coconut and toasty oak.
Palate
Very grain dominated with dried fruit and coconutty oak. The heavy oak begins to bitter but a touch of honey and barley attempts to balance.
Finish
Crisp and remaining grainy with lingering chocolate, coconut, and coffee notes.
Comment
A pleasant blend, although I would have liked to have seen some malt character on the palate.

Nose
A slightly agricultural nose that reminds me of trips to see Armagnac distillation. It's rare but real, and quite inviting. Lots going on, well integrated.
Palate
A fine palate that is oily and rich, but struggles to find a direction. At times sweet, at times spicy.
Finish
Oak, then suddenly black pepper.
Comment
Not for me, but you can tell there are good intentions.
