Michael Jackson
Nose
A heathery moorland.
Palate
Deft interplay of slightly syrupy, malty, sweetness and very restrained peaty dryness.
Finish
Warming, soothing.
Comment
On principle, I have misgivings about private bottlings of unidentified malts, but this is an excellent dram.

Nose
Appealing: malty (green malt), dry bracken with sweet fruit and nut notes. Dry bracken.
Palate
Good, firm attack: toasted nuts, malt but with sufficient toffee sweetness to keep things interesting.
Finish
Medium length, pecan, fruit.
Comment
I have a vague family connection with the original Stronachie Distillery. Good to see the name back. A good aperitif.
