Nose
Hot with alcohol, with a sweet lemon drop nose. Quite acidic as well. As it opens notes of hot rabbit hutches. Has decent concentration. Palate
Penetrating and alcoholic. Mix of dusty cereal (malt bins) and some fruit pastille, then like England’s midfield it collapses in the centre. Lacks harmony. Finish
Short. Comment
The overriding impression is of young whiskies released too soon.
Ian Buxton
Nose
Sweets, gum, ripe fruits. Palate
Assertive but not actively unpleasant. Finish
Chewy. Comment
Showing some promise. Might develop with age.
