Oaky. Beeswax. Cooked apples. Crème brûlée. Raw bread dough. Peat in the back.
Sweet at start but spices put taste buds on fire. Passion fruit. Oak gradually takes over.
Dry, dusty, spicy, slightly astringent.
The creamy notes on the nose suggest more sweetness on the palate. Oak speaks up.

Dave Broom

Clean, with layered tropical fruit. Eucalyptus, red fruit, vanilla. Oak. Good weight and breadth.
Oily, fruity and juicy. Almost Irish. Firm with obvious oaken structure but sufficient sweetness (cocoa, liquorice, vanilla) to carry.
Lightly gripping.
Images of a weatherbeaten oak. Mature, but sweet-hearted.
