90- Nose
- Heather honey with smoke underneath. Salty again but everything softened by oak. Wet sails, oilskins, cough sweets, bitter orange peel, white peppercorn and Lochaber smoked cheese. Mature and rich. Complex.
- Palate
- Multifaceted, rounded and harmonious. Smoke is there but also a dense savoury fruitiness. Great balance.
- Finish
- Elegant and long with a little pepper.
- Comment
- Bold, subtle, sweet yet smoky. Class.

87- Nose
- Melon and sweetened, stewed rhubarb. Dark chocolate sauce, roast hazelnuts and some Dettol medicinal notes.
- Palate
- More of that chocolate, some quite astringent tannins and chilli spice.
- Finish
- Brooding smoke and a little salty chlorine. Possibly a light soapiness too.
- Comment
- Certainly complex, and a phenolic element that wove slyly in and out of what was a coastal experience.
