- Nose
- Fruity and malty. Pear drop. It slowly opens up on lovely vanilla syrup and
light toffee. A pleasant herbal note. Green tea mixed with basil. With water,
an earthy and peaty touch.
- Palate
- Firm but round. Oak is more present than on the nose but pleasantly
frames the malty flavours; and again this herbal character.
- Finish
- Dry, slightly spicy.
- Comment
- A well structured dram. More appreciated neat than diluted. Water
enhances oak and bitterness.

- Nose
- Lots of fruit and sweet notes then turns more to burnt sugar with a hint
of coffee. Layers of pepper and a little smoke too.
- Palate
- Big and chewy with a slightly bittersweet oak touch. Just a hint of
ginger and dried herbs.
- Finish
- Hot and peppery.
- Comment
- Very complex but very appealing.
