80- Nose
- The clean, sweet, Arran whisky and a kiss of Calvados promise a romantic encounter.
- Palate
- Exciting interplay: creamy whisky, cinder toffee, Belgian wafers, chocolate, crisp Calvados.
- Finish
- Surprisingly hot, but this bottling is high in alcohol. Needs a little ministering from the angels.
- Comment
- Was the Calvados cask notably generous, or is Scotch whisky particularly receptive to the Norman spirit?

- Intense and spicy: cinnamon, green grass apple pie. With water reminiscent of a Martinique rum: vegetal, green banana, toasted oak.
- Palate
- Appley and intense. Fairly sweet and spicy. The grassy apple note continues.
- Finish
- Nutty.
- Comment
- Balanced. Arran is becoming pretty impressive.
