- Clear liquid honey. Orangey with water.
- Palate
- Fudge. Almonds. Honey. Orange. Minty.
- Finish
- Lemony. Dry. Warming. Very long.
- Comment
- Tasting from the cask resulted in slightly different descriptors whereas these notes were based on a sample sent to Whisky Magazine.

- Deep oak with hint of berry fruits and buttered crumpets. Very firm.
- Palate
- Clean surge of unspecified fruitness.
- Finish
- Hardens into a very brittle maltiness and oak.

- A rather unusual Balvenie but delicious nonetheless!
