Tasting Notes

Dave Broom

Nose
Shows real maturity, but with a lifted, elegant rather than woody nose: light dried fruit, resin, sandalwood, hint of varnish and slightly rum-like notes moving into malted milk.
Palate
Silky palate mixing honey scented with rosemary, and layered fruits. Very well balanced.
Finish
Long, smooth.
Comment
This oozes class and, for me, is streets ahead of everything else in this group.

Arthur Motley

Nose
The nose is greeted by a massive estery whoosh! Banana, very ripe pineapple and rum butter. Yum. Cocoa. Mango. More yum. Bounty bars. With time it moves towards a floral style.
Palate
Orangey, but not as much fruit as the nose, but lots of smoky-oaky cocoa character. Perfumed.
Finish
Mixed spice in sugar. Overall: good, and nearly great.
