82- Nose
- Perfumy sherry. Walnuts. Apricots.
- Palate
- Rich, rummy. Dark chocolate with fruit and nuts.
- Finish
- Satisfying. Lingering smokiness.
- Comment
- Seductive, but it is all done with great finesse.
Dave Broom
77- Nose
- Initially quite dry, then juicy malt and overripe pulpy fruit begins to take over. Muscovado sugar, chocolate, a light winey/black fruit, then orange fruit pastilles. Juicy!
- Palate
- Good start mixing sweet malty weight with those black fruits within a fairly firm oak frame. Medium-bodied and rich with a soft feel.
- Finish
- Oakiness increases, then smoke. A bit short?
- Comment
- Charms on the nose but a bit too oaky.
