Tasting Notes

Martine Nouet Nose Malty and nutty with a grassy note. Basil. Lemon balm. Redcurrant jelly. An unpleasant sulphury hint at times. Palate Sweet with a sharper core. Citrussy. Grapefuit peel. Finish Fruity and mellow. Rhubarb jam. Comment Good balance. A fruity profile. To be enjoyed with a lemon-meringue pie or a syllabub.

Dave Broom Nose Lightly caramelised notes, yoghurt-covered nuts, raisin/burnt cakes. Brioche, jammy. Palate Firmer than the 21 Years Old with more obvious nutty oak over the top of Wine Gums and tayberry. Finish Becomes sweet. Plump dates. Comment A rich sweet and fairly deep dram.
