Nose
Oaky. Rich toffee. An earthy character too. Wet pine needles. Hint of mushroom. A distant floral note. Needs time to unwind.
Palate
Smooth and sweet at start. But bitterness sweeps the gentle start away. As astringent as the skin of a raw quince. Water does not help.
Finish
Bitter and dry.
Comment
For those who like bitter drinks, obviously. Too much untamed wood maybe?

Nose
Bags of rich oak here, soft toffee too. Opens up slowly to reveal forest, mossy notes and pencil shavings.
Palate
Starts slowly, then the oak begins to push its way through. Quite tannic.
Finish
Oaky
Comment
Takes a little getting used to, but then that oak grip gets quite pleasant.
