Nose
Similar to 15 with an added wholemeal bread note. Intensity and better integration. Good poise and richness of character.
Palate
Nuts galore, then a similarly slick quality that's been in the previous three. Rounded and better balance struck between crisp maltiness and sweet dark fruits.
Finish
Fruity!
Comment
This is the best of the bunch, but in general I find the construction of these just a little too obvious.

Nose
Intense. Malty with an earthy note. Pine needles. A hint of resin. Opening on cooked fruit. Quite creamy and enticing. Integrated oak and fruit.
Palate
Oily, almost syrupy.Very soft and caressing texture. Oak speaks up more than fruit but the aromatic display is well wrapped. Water enhances spices but also bitter notes.
Finish
Slightly astringent. Nutty aftertaste. Fresh walnut.
Comment
An enjoy as it comes dram. No water please.
