Nose
Exotic nose, all heady spices and wax polish with a hint of rubber behind, then mocha. A lightly heathery note, box hedges, spiced pears, papaya and lightsmoke. In time, saddle soap, massage oil and scented candles.
Palate
Densely flavoured and old,but not overly wooded.Moves into grilled nuts. Quite light and fragile. Light wood smoke drifts through. Elegant.
Finish
Exotic fruits. Lovely.
Comment
Great balance and complexity.

Nose
Perfumy .A superb mix of floral and fruity notes. So well intertwined. Heather honey, cherry plums. Creamy toffee. Cedar. A hint of pine resin.
Palate
Sweet but the wood astringence quickly takes over.Develops on spices and passion fruit.
Finish
Lingering,framed byoak and spices.
Comment
From the nose to the palate,we know that we are in front of a very old whisky. The nose is superb but the wood signature is too assertive on the palate.
