- Brown. Blackstrap molasses. Burnt and dense. Spent bonfire and liquorice.
- Palate
- Lighter in touch than 15 but there's greater astringency. Mouth puckeringly dry. Slightly better
with water,but the story here is all about tannin.
- Finish
- Hard, bitter.
- Comment
- Sorry,but this isn't what old whisky is for me.

- Sour,spicy. Opens on a floral display of heady scents.Roasted chestnuts.
- Palate
- Sweet and sour. Spicier than oaky. Ginger,hint of chili.Roasted coffee.
- Finish
- Dry,spicy.
- Comment
- Obviously over sherried but there is some life under the coat of wood.
