Nose
Brown. Blackstrap molasses. Burnt and dense. Spent bonfire and liquorice.
Palate
Lighter in touch than 15 but there's greater astringency. Mouth puckeringly dry. Slightly better with water, but the story here is all about tannin.
Finish
Hard, bitter.
Comment
Sorry, but this isn't what old whisky is for me.

Sour, spicy. Opens on a floral display of heady scents.Roasted chestnuts.
Palate
Sweet and sour. Spicier than oaky. Ginger, hint of chili.Roasted coffee.
Finish
Dry,spicy.
Comment
Obviously over sherried but there is some life under the coat of wood.
