- Nose
- Dry and fragrant with dried cranberry, a touch of dried flowers, black cherry, sweetened with cinnamon, then comes oak lactone, clover honey.
- Palate
- Charred wood, then a waxy feel giving way to tobacco, cedar, date, green tea.
Lifted,complex and balanced.
- Finish
- Long and elegant.
- Comment
- If this is John Ramsay's last blend then what a way to go. Masterly. The slow ever-changing multifaceted style is blending at its very best.

- Nose
- Oaky and resiny. Overcooked blackcurrant jam. Sultanas. Hint of musty walls. Rich and big. Liquorice.
- Palate
- Thick and syrupy. Oaky sweetness. Then a better note. And spices. Still that
blackcurrant jam.
- Finish
- Dry,spicy. Grippy.
- Comment
- You have got to like oaky whiskies. A lot of rich notes and complexity but the oak is too prominent for me. It should have left its cask earlier.
