Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson Nose Very aromatic; hay, grass and peat. Palate Lovely balance of sugared almonds, syrup, a hint of orange-zest, grass and peat. Finish Light, soft, warming. Deceptively long. Comment Lots of flavour development. I enjoyed this one.

Jim Murray Nose Deep sweetish sherry, just a hint of smoke and old leather; and a very healthy, rich maltiness. Palate An awesome, oily wave of sweet sherry-malt intensity. Fabulous complexity. Finish Rich chocolate notes, lightly metallic finale. Comment Astonishing for a Speysider of such antiquity. First class complexity with no over-ageing.
