- Nose
- Lively. Fruity. Peaty.
- Palate
- Light, clean, cereal grain maltiness. Very firm and smooth. Developing toastier, nuttier flavours. Orange oil. Some macaroon-like sweetness, too.
- Finish
- Sweet grass. Smoky fragrance.
- Comment
- A first-class malt, but I would like a little more structure and style.

- Nose
- Lifted and mellow. Good, complex mix of floral, bracken top notes with plenty of spicy oak, malt and sweet fruit.
- Palate
- A sweet, rounded start with some honey and soft fruit, then it's given a good kick from the oak: tobacco, hazelnut and a whiff of smoke. Good feel. The oak comes to the fore as it develops.
- Finish
- Maybe just a little woody.
- Comment
- A powerful spicy malt.
