Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Lively. Fruity. Peaty.
Palate
Light, clean, cereal grain maltiness. Very firm and smooth. Developing toastier, nuttier flavours. Orange oil. Some macaroon-like sweetness, too.
Finish
Sweet grass. Smoky fragrance.
Comment
A first-class malt, but I would like a little more structure and style.

Dave Broom

Nose
Lifted and mellow. Good, complex mix of floral, bracken top notes with plenty of spicy oak, malt and sweet fruit.
Palate
A sweet, rounded start with some honey and soft fruit, then itâ��s given a good kick from the oak: tobacco, hazelnut and a whiff of smoke. Good feel. The oak comes to the fore as it develops.
Finish
Maybe just a little woody.
Comment
A powerful spicy malt.
