Nose
Powerful. Sliced blood oranges in Maraschino liqueur. Palate
Fruity. Cherryish. Sappy. Falls away somewhat. Finish
Late resurgence of fruity flavours. Cream soda. Comment
After that sensuous aroma, the palate is subtle to the point of reticence. Still interesting.
Dave Broom
Nose
Fat and unctuous with some resinous notes moving into Worcester sauce. Light smoke, Iced Gems, cedar, fig, stewed tea, caramelised fruits. Palate
Very slow and soft showing real maturity. Fungal. Structure and grip. Good age, with a nutty oaky start which grows and opens beautifully. Finish
Fades into chocolate, dust and velvet. Comment
An excellent mature spirit.
