Tasting Notes

Michael Jackson

Nose
Polished oak.
Palate
Sugared almonds, spicy; flowery, fresh herbs. A dash of herbal, leafy, flowery peatiness.
Finish
Sweet, flowery, long, smooth.
Comment
Has the complexity I expect from The Glenlivet.

Jim Murray

Nose
Ripe figs amidst oak and malt. Delicously fruity.
Palate
Sherry and spice, oak and honey. Much maltier middle. Balance of bitterness and sweetness.
Finish
Lots of vanilla plus grapiness and gentle smoke.
Comment
Excellent character, though the oak has taken a firmer grip than on the 1967; this is never quite so rich.
