Michael Jackson

Nose
Peaty, leafy, sappy, oaky.
Palate
Nutty, toffeeish, creamy flavours. Lacks development and complexity.
Finish
Dry.
Comment
A little woody.

Jim Murray

Nose
Sherry again, but this time fabulously clean and precise. Deftly smoked.
Palate
Dry, oaky start; malty; saltiness shows quite early. Fruit-cake richness.
Finish
Lots of oak and intense malt: bittersweet and chewy finale.
Comment
Brilliant whisky with great age.
